Lara, a modern bride with a great knowledge of all things upscale, trending and dazzlingly elegant, had a great vision in mind for her wedding day.
Lara's June 27th wedding was well on it's way to being one of the best days of her life.
Lara, a nutrition expert, studied at the Ohio State University. Her circle of friends included many from around Columbus and beyond. The highly anticipated event was sure to impress and dazzle the hearts of their friends and family.
Lara and Tyler brought on Meleka Jolliff of MMJ Events, Dublin/Columbus, Ohio. Meleka comes highly recommended from previous brides. Her attention to detail and eye for fashion made her the perfect choice for Lara and Tyler's wedding event (s) planning. Lara and her friend Melanie contacted me in mid May for the late June wedding. They asked for inforamtion about wedding day hair along with referrals for wedding day makeup. It is such an honor to be able to refer the best of Columbus, Ohio artists for seeking brides.
High on the list of things needing done was a hair trial/consultation. The bride trial/consultation was then scheduled for June 17, about a week and a half before the wedding.
Lara has long, full, deep chocolatey hair. It was a lot of fun to play with her hair and figure out exactly how it would look best. We landed on a curly bridal style with deep waves and the right side pulled back with a splendid hair piece. Having her hair pulled back allowed for her long hair to be showcased, as well as creating a way of displaying her most admirable earrings.
It is all about the details! Right?!
The day of preparations would take place at the Renaissance Hotel, downtown Columbus. The Renaissance Hotel Columbus is a very popular hotel for brides and bridal parties. "A luxurious Columbus, Ohio, hotel situated within walking distance to top area attractions" , "high-tech amenities", as well as many other amenities that keep the upscale crowd happy. Being located right in the heart of downtown Columbus is one of the best features offered by one of Columbus' finest. Accessiblity to everything you may need is a must for out of town guests.
The large wedding party consisted of 9 attendants on either side including eight bridesmaids and man of honor. This made for the need for a system that would work seamlessly on the day of the wedding. Hair styling for a large party is what I specialize in and putting the system to work is a lot of fun. Let's just say that a full kit of hot rollers, curling irons and hair sprays of all sorts were put to use. Bringing along an assistant proved to be helpful to keep things moving along beautifully.
The bridesmaids wore their hair in an assortment of different styles. Some wore their hair down, curled and full of volume while others preferred a modern, stylish updo. We incorporated braids, twists and texture to each style to customize the styles to each person's preference.
Lara's hair was voluminous, full of curl and just perfectly bridal for her big day. She looked ravishing.
Joy Macke of State of Face Makeup Artistry artfully enhanced each of the bridesmaids already gorgeous faces. Her artistry is sought after and sets the standard for wedding beauty.
Lara's gown was a most delicious eye candy. She glistened and illuminated the day and night. Her gown was full from the waist down. This foxy bride was most definitely a memory that will not be forgotten.

While looking through Simon's website, I found a great quote and want to share with you. Capturing every moment of the wedding day so that it can be relived year after year.

Videography captured by AddVision off of Olentangy River Road, Columbus is a professional, experienced, and creative company. One of the services offered is wedding cinematography. The day of your wedding goes by so quickly and it is hard to take in all the details that have been planned out and designed just right. There is nothing better than having a cinematographer capture every single moment. Having the ability to watch that whenever you want and relive the magic is so fun. When it comes down to it, I cannot express how honored I am to have the opportunity to be a part of something so magical, unforgettable and special in the lives of so many.
